On Sunday 28th April the BCCG's Anthony Chapman ran his 13th consecutive London Marathon on behalf of WellChild (15th in total) and 3rd wearing the formidable Nessa the Nurse Costume!
When he completes the 2019 The Great North Run he will have run more than 500 miles wearing this amazing costume, so here are a few Nessa facts:
- Nessa the Nurse weighs 23kgs when dry
- She holds the World Record for the tallest costume to complete a marathon, standing at 14ft
- Nessa is 3ft wide making negotiating street signs and bollards very interesting!
- There is no peripheral vision whilest wearing the costume
- Nessa completed this years London Marathon in just over 7 hours
