Small Business funding for innovation, growth grants and graduate placements

03 March 2020

On the 10th of March between 10am and 3pm in the Atrium, Capability House, we will be joined by the Innovation and Enterprise Service team based at the University of Bedfordshire. The team will be here to offer advice and information about their programmes, and how they can support small local businesses.

Via the University of Bedfordshire our tenants may have access to new European funded programmes, offering support to businesses over the next 2 to 3 years.

In collaboration with Northampton, the OU and Cranfield University, along with other regional organisations, the University of Bedfordshire aims to help SMEs to gain access through a portfolio of ERDF and ESIF programmes, providing alternative ways to support businesses through funding for innovation, growth grants and graduate placements.

The four current programmes are as follows:

ALPHAS focuses on Accelerating Leadership & Productivity in High Ambition SMEs; supporting business with scale-up potential. This offers a range of services for businesses.

Innovation Bridges focuses on supporting businesses through fully funded consultancy and provision of revenue/capital grants.

Time2Grow is designed to help businesses in the SEMLEP area solve some of their most challenging programmes by accessing a skilled graduate.

Growth Curve is a fully funded programme for high growth businesses based in the South East Midlands. With a minimum of 12 hours of tailored support, clients will receive a mix of one-to-one meetings with high growth business advisers and a university masterclass with access to the programme peer-to-peer network upon completion.
